This was my first mid-summer's view from Eggardon Hill. It took me two years to complete. The first in a series can take a while to figure out in terms of the correct palette, composition and mood of the painting. If it's the first of a series, as this was, then the subsequent paintings tend to be realised in a quicker manner, as the initial work has already been done, and then it's just a matter of exploring variations on the theme.
