Robin Rae (born 1928, London) is a painter and printmaker who has recently had a major retrospective exhibition.  He studied at Ealing School of Art and later at the Royal College of Art, London under John Nash, Francis Bacon etc.  He first exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1946 and in those early years had successful one-man shows at the Little Gallery in Piccadilly.  He taught printmaking at Edinburgh College of Art and in the 1960s was teaching at Liverpool College of Art.  In the 1980s he exhibited etchings at the Royal Academy.  The artist lives in Dorset and in 2008 a retrospective exhibition of his work was held at Sladers Yard, Bridport.
