As far back as I can remember I have loved making things and images in various materials, influenced greatly by my dad who was a very good amateur artist. However, growing up in post-war Britain didn't seem to encourage trying to earn money in this way. Recently I have become freed from the necessity of making a living through other work, and with the encouragement of my family, I am giving a lot of time to the creative process and have also begun to show work in exhibitions.

I have always been intensely interested in the forms and colours of the natural world. Most of my images are derived from these, although often undergoing considerable imaginative re-creation and invention in the process. Hopefully they communicate a very personal vision of things.

Park in East Street car park and walk up Barrack Street opposite (2 mins). 6 St Andrews Road is on the corner of Cordova Gardens. Drive: A3066, turn into St Andrews Road opposite Co-op and follow road towards the town.
