An artist can be a  channel for ideas, bringing forth not just one's own thoughts and expressing them, but rather, giving life to something already there.  Anish Kapoor  when contemplating his role as an artist stated,

"I think it's my role to bring to expression, it's not my role to be expressive."

I view my own practice as a ‘bringing to expression' that which is there but just out of reach.  It isn't always clear what ‘that' is, but the moment it comes forth, through a painting, a drawing or a sculpture is an exhilirating moment in communication.

Through exhibiting my work I enjoy sharing a part of that moment.

Paintings range from the vibrant and strong to the quiet and contemplative. Sculptural forms are often inspired by the natural world. Underlying all my work is a reference to our lives as spiritual and emotional beings.

Having gained a BA ( Hons) Fine Art from Leeds Metropolitan University, I have exhibited nationally in Solo and Group shows  since 2001. I now work full-time from my studio in Beaminster near Bridport, West Dorset.
